What you’ll learn

You will learn a variety of skills to help you assist clients under the direction of an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or speech language pathologist. You’ll learn to help deliver treatment plans designed to improve a client’s physical function, independence or occupational performance.

Your career

Throughout your career, you’ll help others regain their health or mobility. You’ll be able to provide safe, competent rehabilitative care to clients and establish effective, therapeutic relationships with their families.

As an assistant to an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist or a speech-language pathologist, you may work in a hospital, care home, school or clinic setting, or in a private home.
