What you’ll learn

You’ll learn all the main welding processes and procedures and the theory behind them, as well as how to operate general fabrication equipment. You will also have the opportunity to earn Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets during the program.

Your career

Welders are always in demand because their services are needed in many industries. You can earn a good wage doing work you take pride in. Demand is especially high right now because many welders are nearing retirement and need to be replaced.

This program gives you the skills required to begin your first year of apprenticeship (Level 1). Find welding jobs in shop work, on construction sites, or in sectors such as welding robotics, metallurgy, and trade sales.
