You are meticulous, organized, strong, and have lots of stamina for physical labour. You’re good at math and able to translate what’s on paper to the physical world. You’re self-motivated and comfortable working alone or on a team, indoors or outside.
You will learn basic skills needed to install, operate, troubleshoot, service and repair electrical equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You’ll understand circuits, motors, transformers, control equipment, and electrical systems.

Enter the workforce with plenty of practical experience. The electrical industry is extremely broad, and there is current demand for electrical-related knowledge that you can apply to many industries beyond construction.
You may find employment with electrical equipment fabrications companies (panel, motor, security, assembly factories), telecommunications and cabling companies. Or, once you have your Red Seal, you can start your own contracting business.
