Additional learning options at MITT
MITT Lifelong learning
The workplace of the future will need us to pick up new ideas quickly, apply knowledge in creative ways, and keep investing in learning. We need to prepare for jobs that haven’t yet been created, technologies that haven’t yet been invented, and problems that don’t yet exist.
Whether you are starting, growing, or transitioning your career, you need learning that can take you on the next step of your journey--Lifelong Learning’s programs and courses can help.
MITT High School
Students entering Grade 11 and 12, looking to attend MITT full-time for academic and technical training, have the option of making MITT their home school. Upon successful completion of Grades 11 and 12, they are eligible to earn a Manitoba high school diploma from the Senior Years Technology Education Program, which they can use toward entrance into college or university, and an MITT certificate. MITT High School is an excellent option for students looking to complete their high school diploma and at the same time get a head start developing knowledge and skills for entry into high-demand trade or technical careers.
Visit mitt.ca/highschool for information on Grades 9 and 10 entrance requirements as well as the application process.
Partnership School Divisions
Students from partner school divisions have the option to attend MITT part-time for technical training only, while spending the rest of their academic year at their home schools for their academic programs.
MITT’s Partner School Divisions include:
- Louis Riel School Division
- Pembina Trails School Division
- Division scolaire franco-manitobaine (DSFM), and
- Red River Valley School Division
Seats are limited. If you are a student in a partner school division and are interested in taking technical training at MITT, please contact a counselor at your high school to learn more about eligibility and the application process.
Pembina Trails Early College (PTEC)
Pembina Trails Early College (PTEC) is for Pembina Trails School Division students or those residing in the Pembina Trails catchment area who are passionate about software development, networking, and coding.
Students receive high-level instruction from Grades 9 to 12 in a supportive environment. They obtain a high school diploma and either a Full Stack Developer or Cloud and Network Technician post-secondary certificate, which gives them a head start in a career in IT and prepares them for life after high school.

Mature Students
Students 19 or older that want to finish high school and obtain a mature student diploma can choose from one of our conveniently located Adult Learning Centres in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
MITT ensures that the Centres are well administered, accountable, and offer quality programming that leads to a certified High School Diploma or Mature Student High School Diploma. The diploma may be used to meet job entry requirements or for entrance to college or university.
